cppaPANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy is proud to announce that it is actively pursuing a third Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation through the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (CPPA). PANTHERx currently holds accreditation through URAC and ACHC, but is looking to further differentiate the quality of clinical services offered within the Specialty Pharmacy space through CPPA accreditation.

Achieving accreditation is a process in which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. The CPPA accreditation focuses on the organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting the standards of patient care and ensuring the services provided to patients are of the highest level of quality in the specialty pharmacy industry. PANTHERx feels that the patient experience comes first and partnering together with doctor’s office and insurance companies only enhances that experience. A recent Zitter Health Insights Patient Satisfaction Survey ranked PANTHERx as #1 in patient satisfaction among all specialty pharmacies and successful completion of CPPA accreditation will further demonstrate PANTHERx’s commitment to the highest standards of care.

“We are very excited that PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy has chosen CPPA accreditation. CPPA recognizes pharmacy practices that are committed to quality and accountability and deliver patient care services which improve health outcomes,” said CPPA Executive Director Lynnae Mahaney, B.S.Pharm., MBA, FASHP.

The Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation® (CPPA®)is a non-profit organization established in 2012 through the partnership of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) to recognize pharmacy practices for providing patient care services that improve health outcomes and contribute to lower health care costs. The CPPA mission, unique among accreditors, is to raise the level of pharmacy -delivered patient care services through accreditation and, thus, serve the public health. These three organizations saw a need to establish standards to meet the public’s need for specific, predictable, and measurable pharmacist clinical services across the medication use continuum.
